Genesis is a story of new beginnings. In the first few pages of this book of the Bible, we receive a beautiful picture of the Lord's existence and creation of mankind. However, this ideal reality is destroyed by Adam and Eve's disobedience in the Garden of Eden. This dynamic duo brought sin to earth--affecting not only themselves, but every generation after them. In the midst of their sin, we see God extend promise after promise to redeem, restore, forgive and faithfully lead His people. Join us in this story to unpack the Israelites lineage and faith!

strong and courageous: a study from The book of Joshua

The Israelites were lead out of their captivity in Egypt and brought into the desert under the leadership of a man named Moses. Due to their disobedience, the Israelites wandered the desert for 40 years. As the older generation of these traveling exiles begins to die off, so does their beloved leader Moses. After years of preparation and mentoring, Moses hands the reins over to a younger leader named Joshua. Read through Strong and Courageous to learn about Joshua's leadership skills, the Israelites obedience, and how God paved their way to the Promised Land.

The Israelites finally conquered the Promised Land through Joshua’s leadership. However, they were quickly going to lose it if they didn’t acknowledge the Lord in all their ways! After Israel would willfully enter a season of sinfulness, God would rise up a leader, or judge, and they would walk away from their rebellion. All for them to repeat the cycle once again. If you are tired of being on the hamster wheel of disobedience in your life, read through Judges to gain a greater understanding of God’s view of sin and freedom for those who repent.

Meaningless, meaningless! Everything is meaningless. King Solomon found this to be true in his pursuits of wealth, wisdom, and women. Due to his emptiness, Solomon sought out the true meaning of life--finding work to be fleeting, death to be unavoidable and wisdom to be unfulfilling. After wrestling with his true meaning in life, he found the only purpose this side of heaven came from a right relationship with the Lord! And this applies to us as well! If you are wrestling with some of life’s deepest questions, study along and learn from Solomon’s wisdom.

The Book of Daniel

Lions, and fires, and dreams, oh my! Daniel was a young man taken from his homeland to a foreign country. As the Babylonians tried to re-educate Daniel and his friends about their culture, gods, and lifestyle, Daniel had some intense questions to answer for himself: Do we disobey leaders who disobey God to ultimately be obedient? How do we live a life of faith when our faith is challenged?

Daniel and his infamous friends Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego decide to follow Jesus--no matter the cost. It gets them to some pretty intense situations, but they were confident in God’s control and will in their life. Join us as we unpack some of Daniel’s revelations as he faithfully follows the Lord!

the book of jonah

You might be familiar with the story of Jonah. Called to be a prophet to the wicked city of Nineveh, Jonah quite literally ran in the exact opposite direction of his calling. While hitchhiking on a boat to the other side of the world, Jonah's disobedience leads to a life-threatening storm. In order to save the innocent seafarers, he is thrown overboard, swallowed by a big fish and vomited back onto dry ground. Though his story is interesting, Jonah's life amounts to more than being inside the stomach of a fish! The Book of Jonah is a continual reminder of God's desire for our sacrifice, obedience, and redemption.
