Hopefully, you’ve enjoyed studying through the book of Psalms! As we’ve looked at how we should handle the many emotions life throws our way, I pray you feel equipped to handle your feelings in a way that brings honor and praise to God!
So on this last day, before we end our study, let’s take time to reflect on what we’ve learned and make sure that we know how to apply it to our everyday lives.
What are the eight emotions we studied together? Which of these did you relate to the most? Which of these did you relate to the least?
Make a list of the main themes we’ve seen in the book of Psalms.
What has been the most impactful thing you’ve learned by studying the book of Psalms?
What changes have you already made in your life based on what you’ve studied from this book?
What changes are you planning to make based on what you’ve learned from this book?
Think of someone you can share what you’ve learned with. Write down their name and make a point to talk to them about it this week.
As you conclude your time in God’s word today, thank Him for all He’s shown you through the book of Psalms. Ask Him to begin preparing your heart now for all He wants to show you in the next book of the Bible you study.
Finally, pick out a verse or two from Psalms and write it down on an index card and place it where you can see it regularly. Memorize the verse or verses so that you can hide this book and its wisdom in your heart!
